St Joseph's Hospital sponsors Admiral City of Newport Half Marathon

St Joseph’s Hospital are pleased to announce that they are sponsoring the Admiral City of Newport Half Marathon which takes place on the 5th March 2023. The race, organised by St David’s Hospice Care, will be celebrating its 10 year anniversary in 2023. Two of our fantastic physiotherapist team attended the Commonwealth Games. This week the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games officially closed and handed the baton over to Victoria 2026. St Joseph’s Hospital have thoroughly enjoyed the two weeks of sporting activity and cheering on the home nations. Over two thirds of hospital staff "look forward to going to work." St Joseph's Hospital is recruiting 30 new roles following on from its recent multi-million-pound investment announcement. The hospital takes pride in maintaining a happy staff and good working culture. In a recent staff survey, over two-thirds of staff said they looked forward to going into work at the hospital either most of the time or all of the time, while over 90% have a good working relationship with colleagues

£4.2m boost for St Joseph’s Hospital is part of a phased investment process

Investment in the latest technologies and increased patient capacity. The independent hospital acknowledged for its supportive and compassionate care, has announced it will benefit from a further £4.2m investment during its 75th anniversary year. The third part of a phased process, the investment will fund a new state-of-the-art GE X-Ray machine for the Advanced Diagnostic Centre as well as extensive upgrading and refurbishment work, which will see the hospital reducing activity over Christmas to minimise any disruption
