The hospital takes pride in maintaining a happy staff and good working culture. In a recent staff survey, over two-thirds of staff said they looked forward to going into work at the hospital either most of the time or all of the time, while over 90% have a good working relationship with colleagues

£4.2m boost for St Joseph’s Hospital is part of a phased investment process

Investment in the latest technologies and increased patient capacity. The independent hospital acknowledged for its supportive and compassionate care, has announced it will benefit from a further £4.2m investment during its 75th anniversary year. The third part of a phased process, the investment will fund a new state-of-the-art GE X-Ray machine for the Advanced Diagnostic Centre as well as extensive upgrading and refurbishment work, which will see the hospital reducing activity over Christmas to minimise any disruption

1,000th patient receives treatment at the brand new £3m Day Surgery Unit

The Day Surgery Unit, which opened at St Joseph’s Hospital in Newport opened to patients in May this year, allowing up to 500 extra procedures to take place a month, has just welcomed its 1,000th patient.
