Professional bio

Mr Hiew has been a Consultant Plastic Surgeon since 2006. He performs a variety of plastic surgery/cosmetic surgical procedures and specialises in cosmetic breast surgery including the correction of the female and male chest anomalies.

He practices general plastic/cosmetic surgery with an interest in cosmetic breast surgery and body contouring. Areas of cosmetic breast surgery include breast augmentation, breast reduction, breast uplift (mastopexy) with or without implants, correction of breast asymmetry (different sized or shaped) breasts including tubular deformity, correction of inverted nipple and correction of gynaecomastia in the male chest. Areas of body contouring include abdominoplasty, liposuction, arm lift (brachioplasty) and body contouring after weight loss.

To date, Mr Hiew has performed over 1,000 cosmetic/plastic surgical Breast operations in the private and NHS sector over a 15 year period. During his plastic surgical and fellowship training, he has worked in plastic surgical units across the United Kingdom including Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool and Swansea. Mr Hiew makes a conscious effort to stay abreast of the latest techniques and developments in plastic and breast surgery by being involved in annual national and international plastic surgical conferences and courses in Europe and the United States.

Mr Hiew is employed in the NHS as a general Plastic Surgeon with a subspecialist interest in Breast reconstruction.

He is currently Chair of the Plastic Surgery National Specialist Advisory Group(NSAG) for Wales.

He contribute to the continual training of junior doctors and medical students in the NHS in the role of a Clinical Supervisor and a Medical Appraiser.

Mr Hiew lives in South Wales with his partner and their dogs. He enjoys a healthy lifestyle which incudes gym activity, cycling swimming and spending outdoor activities with the dogs.
