Professional bio

Roger is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Cardiff & Vale Local Health Board. He sees and treats private patients at St Joseph's Hospital.

He graduated from Southampton University in 1986 with a degree in Medicine. 

His Ophthalmology training was based in the South of England and South Wales followed by a specialist fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery at The Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne where he was trained by leading experts in this field. 

Roger returned to South Wales in 2001 taking up a consultant position at University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Oph-thalmologists and trains junior Ophthal-mologists within the Health board.

His areas of expertise include small incision cataract surgery and vitreoretinal Surgery.
