Andrew is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Aneurin Bevan Health Board and sees private patients at St Joseph's Hospital.
Originally from North Wales, he graduated from Bristol University in 1998 with degrees in both Medicine and Anatomy. He gained early clinical experience in hospital medicine in Sydney, Australia, before teaching Anatomy at Oxford University.
Mr Roberts completed his Ophthalmology training in the South West of England and South Wales, followed by a prestigious fellowship in Oculoplastic, Lacrimal, and Orbital Surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, where he trained under world-leading experts.
Since returning to South Wales in 2011, Mr Roberts has held a consultant post at Aneurin Bevan Health Board. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and serves as an educational supervisor, training junior ophthalmologists within the Health Board.
His clinical expertise includes small incision cataract surgery, oculoplastic surgery, and the management of lacrimal (tear duct) disorders
