Professional bio

Mr Amar Ghattaura has over 24 years of experience in Plastic Surgery within the NHS. He studied Medicine as well as Psychology at the prestigious University College London Medical School and then worked extensively in London before moving to Wales. He has trained extensively with world leaders in breast and cosmetic surgery's in London (Roy-al Marsden Hospital and Harley Street), Ox-ford and Ghent, Belgium. 

His NHS work is focused on complex breast cancer reconstruction using either silicone breast implants or transfer of tummy and back tissue. Though this, he has developed a secondary expertise in the use of teardrop implants as well as tummy-tuck surgery and fat transfer procedures to the breast. 

Mr Ghattaura also specialises in developmental breast disorders including small breast volume, breast asymmetry, tubular breast, and the reduction of large breasts. He is the only surgeon in Wales offering micro-surgical breast reconstruction as well as surgery to treat Lymphedema.

Mr Ghattaura has a secondary area of expertise in facial rejuvenation though his in-depth knowledge of Medical grade Lasers (Dye, Erbium, CO2) and Radiofrequency devices (Morpheus8, Facetite, Bodytite). His Master’s degree in Surgical Sciences was focused on the analysis of facial shape and this has been an invaluable foundation for his facial aesthetic work.
