Winners at the Health & Care Awards!

St Joseph’s Hospital are delighted to share that they have won the award for the Best Place to Work at the South Wales Argus Health & Care Awards 2022. This is an outstanding achievement and one that is a true credit of all at the hospital.

Staff at St Joseph’s work hard to provide the best patient experience and come together to support one another on a daily basis. This award is a reflection of the people at the hospital, their positive attitude and incredible work ethic.

Stuart Hammond, CEO, commented, “I am very humbled and extremely proud of every person at the hospital for making this possible. We have an incredible team, and this award is very well-deserved.”

St Joseph’s Hospital are continuously working to improve their employee journey and experience of working at the hospital. They go above and beyond to ensure their employees are engaged, listened to, and feel valued, whilst providing exceptional patient care.

Hazel Tiller, Radiology Nurse

St Joseph’s are also pleased to share that Radiology Nurse, Hazel Tiller, won Private Healthcare Staff Member of the Year. Hazel provides empathy to every patient she meets and has provided the highest level of patient care over her 45 years of nursing. 

Rachel Davies, Advanced Diagnostic Clinical Lead, said “We are immensely proud of our Advanced Diagnostic Nurse Hazel Tiller for winning this award. Hazel dedicates her time whole heartedly and goes above and beyond in all her work. Her selfless courage shines through in the way she treats and supports our patients through their journey within the department. We are privileged to have her as part of our team, and she is a true inspiration.”

South Wales Argus Health and Care Awards was hosted at Rougemont School and was fantastic evening. Congratulations to all the winners.
