Job Summary
To support the Hospital’s cross-sectional imaging and general radiography service ensuring a high standard of service is provided to patients, consultants and visitors to the hospital.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver a comprehensive cross-sectional service that works alongside other areas and forms part of an overall 5-star patient experience.
• To ensure compliance with all radiation legislation / guidelines.
• To comply with all company policies and procedures to include Health & Safety, Fire, COSHH and manual handling.
• To act professionally within the standard and framework provided by the HCPC and Society and College of Radiographers ‘Code of Professional Conduct’.
• To work flexibly within the Imaging department as business required.
Person Specification
The following specification represents the range of skills, abilities, and experiences etc. relevant to the position. Applicants are expected to meet the attributes that have been identified as essential.
Essential
• A recognised degree in radiography.
• Experience of cross-sectional imaging.
• The post holder must be able to communicate at all levels, have an excellent CPD and be able to impart knowledge/skills to others.
Desirable
• Experience of mandatory inspection processes and associated requirements is an important element of the role along with the ability to manage budgets effectively.
