Professional profile

Vicky graduated as a physiotherapist at Sheffield Hallam University in 2005.  Whilst completing her training at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals she discovered her passion for pelvic health physiotherapy.  Vicky worked at several hospitals in South Yorkshire and Manchester before working as a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in Women’s and Men’s Health and Team Leader at the Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, where she built up the Women’s Health Physiotherapy service.

Vicky has spent many years treating patients with pelvic floor dysfunction in the NHS and privately. She has gained a lot of experience treating women with gynaecological and/or urological problems, as well as patients with pregnancy-related problems and male patients suffering from incontinence.

She deals sensitively with what can sometimes be embarrassing problems, has good outcomes and receives a lot of positive feedback from patients.  She has spoken at training events for clinical specialists and on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour and on BBC Radio Sheffield.  As a former lawyer, she has high standards and is constantly updating her practice to deliver the best possible evidence-based care to her patients.

Vicky moved to Wales this summer and is looking forward to developing contacts with the local obstetrics and gynaecology team and GP practices, as a pro-active member of the Pelvic Health physiotherapy team at St Joseph’s Hospital.
