St Joseph’s Hospital as an institution dates back a long way and has over 60 years of caring tradition behind it. However over those years there have been many phases of investment, and the hospital occupies modern buildings carefully designed to provide a caring environment. The recent £10million upgrade of the hospital takes the facilities and the equipment to a new level of excellence.
Our attractive reception and waiting room areas, comfortable consulting rooms, spacious comfortable wards and bedrooms, state-of-the-art operating theatres, and highly advanced diagnostic imaging centre, have been carefully designed with your care at the forefront of our minds.
Outside of the hospital building itself we have our Centre for Clinical Physiotherapy, purpose built with the finest hydrotherapy pool in Wales, and equipped with state of the art equipment to speed your recovery and rehabilitation.
St Joseph’s Hospital is set in spacious grounds and we take great pride in the quality of our gardens, which have won numerous awards.
Our attractive entrance, with a paved walkway and comfortable seating areas, puts you at ease before you enter the modern spacious reception.
St Joseph’s has two principal theatres which are state-of-the-art Laminar Flow theatres capable of supporting complex surgery, together with a theatre designed to support less complex procedures. A modern purpose-designed endoscopy suite enables St Joseph’s to be a leading provider of endoscopy services.
In a modern purpose built centre adjacent to the main hospital St Joseph’s offers the most advanced physiotherapy service available in the region. Equipped with the latest devices the centre offers a physiotherapy service delivered by specialist physiotherapists to achieve the fastest recovery from injury or rehabilitation after an operation. Our hydrotherapy pool is the finest facility available in the region.
