We are looking for an experienced OHT to join our Occupational Health Team at St Joseph’s Hospital, providing services for internal staff and external clients. You will provide a range of services including; health screening, fitness for work medicals, health promotion, drug and alcohol testing and health surveillance. We have recently acquired Apollo, a new IT system to assist with all Occupational Health services. We are also working towards SEQOHS accreditation.

You must have a clean driving licence and insured for business use as you will be required to travel independently to conduct clinics ‘on site’ as required by the clients.

Experience working in a healthcare assistant role is essential, however training can be provided.

We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join us in our multi-disciplinary team to provide clinical support for qualified nurses.

Your main duties will be to work alongside the qualified nurses, ensuring patients receive a high level of care, as well as performing various housekeeping duties as directed. You will assist in the induction and mentorship of new staff and communicate effectively with patients, colleagues and external agencies.

Successful candidates will be competent individuals with a knowledge of Local & General Health & Safety and Clinical Governance matters. You will have experience working on your own initiative but also working under direction and supervision. You will be willing to work flexible shifts appropriate to hospital activity.

Formal qualifications are not obligatory; however previous experience working in a similar role is a requirement. Training will be provided and the successful candidate will be expected to progress their working performance and development.

We are looking for a Nursing Care Assistant to join our Nursing team in our new Rehabilitation Centre. The Bridge, is a nine-bed short stay unit specialising in post-operative rehabilitation, convalescence and respite care.

Successful candidates will be competent and experienced individuals used to working with patients, and who are willing to work flexible shifts appropriate to hospital activity. You will be working closely with the Nurses, supporting them with tasks such as maintaining hygiene, assistance with dressing/undressing, promotion of continence and care of catheters. You will be organised and efficient in maintaining and updating appropriate records and able adhere to hospital policies such as; health and safety, data protection and manual handling.

The ideal candidate will have experience with working in a similar environment and training will be provided. You will have great communication skills and able to cope well under pressure in a busy environment. If you have a strong client focus and are looking for a varied role, please get in touch.

You must be able to work on your own initiative but also part of a team, delivering high standards of care.

This role involves supporting the associate practitioners and healthcare professionals in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care without the need of direct supervision. You must be able oversee and delegate work to junior members of the team.

This role would suit someone who has the ability to identify and implement change and have excellent communication skills at all levels. You must have experience in using a range of standard equipment safely and correctly.

The post holder will be expected to have extremely high professional standards, to be patient-focused and work effectively within our small team. If you feel you have the necessary skills for this position and would like to be part of our team, we look forward to hearing from you.
