Sports injuries

No matter if you’re a recreational sportsperson or an elite athlete, injuries can occur at any time and when you least expect.  From major trauma and reconstructive surgery to minor sporting injuries, all can become problematic if neglected.  Lack of good advice and treatment can result in poor recovery, delayed return to fitness and long absences from your sports and other activities.  It is vital that you treat the injury properly and rapidly to create the best environment for healing and get started on the road to recovery.

We know that having rapid access to the best advice and treatment makes a difference to your recovery. That’s why we have assembled a team of physiotherapists with experience in treating sporting trauma and injuries at the highest level.  Our team has vast experience working with professional athletes and several have themselves competed at an elite level, representing Wales in badminton, swimming and sprint event athletics.  They know first-hand what it is like to sustain injuries and the frustration that goes with it.

Being part of a dynamic private hospital we have rapid access to advanced diagnostic procedures such as MRI, CT and ultrasound scanning.  This means you’re not waiting weeks or months for that important scan. Getting the right scan at the right time helps confirm our diagnosis and plan your rehabilitation more effectively.  And if you need an injection to help relieve symptoms or allow treatment to progress, we can also arrange that for you.

So why come to see us when there are countless other physiotherapy clinics out there?  The reason is that we are different.  We have the best physiotherapists who will treat not only the symptoms, but also get to the root cause of the problem and ensure that a plan is put in place to reduce the chance of further injury or problems.

Our approach is simple and effective: we listen to you and determine the main problem; we assess and test, then re-test; we confirm and make a diagnosis; we treat; we rehabilitate and manage your journey back to health, exercise, work and sport.

At each step along the way we’ll explain exactly what’s going on.  And to make sure we have done our job properly, we will then invite you back for a review to measure your progress and performance.  We do the simple things well and we get results.

Please contact the team for advice on your injury and find out how we can help.
